So right off the bat: I know the game is an indie title, but I dont have any complaints anyways.
This game is straight-forward, and honestly, its one of the better [mobile] games. Even by todays graphics standards — it still holds up. And it definitely doesnt shove ads or micro transactions in your face every 5 seconds which I probably appreciate more than anything. Whoever the developers are; kudos on that. Its so refereeing discovering titles like these that arent trying to play on peoples impatience.
As for the game itself for any readers reading this: Youre trying to escape a zombie infested city and you face off against hordes of zombies and other monsters throughout the game. The premise is simple: You see zombies and you shoot them. Its a good old-classic shooter with an over-the-shoulder camera view. Resident Evil 4 fans will be familiar with this style which is perfect. The controls are not clunky, and its definitely reminiscent of the Resident Evil games since you have to use a menu to switch weapons which is fine by me. I wont give away details about the plot, but its your standard zombie plot.
The game is not without fault, though. It is not the most thrilling or even cinematically fulfilling game. It couldve used more story and characters to interact with could have been added. And a little bit more varied gameplay wouldnt hurt. It also lacks good sound quality. The narrator and the gun sounds and other effects were bland. And although this was in 2013, the menus couldve been polished a bit more. Thats not a con or anything, because the menus works the way it should—regardless of the aesthetics. Its just not visually appealing for me.
Other than that — this is the perfect game to put some time into to just kill as many zombies as you can. I definitely recommend this title.
